Dr. Bhakta was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA for the first 15 years of his life. He then moved to Texas when his parents decided to move to the Houston area. After completing high school in Pearland, TX, Dr. Bhakta attended the University of Texas at Austin from 2000-2004 where he obtained a BA and BS degree in Biology and Neurobiology, respectively. He then left Texas in pursuit of a dental education in New York. Dr. Bhavesh graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 2008 after which he did a one year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.
He returned to the Austin area in 2009 and has been practicing mostly in dental surgery, implant placement and restorations. Dr. Bhakta took over ownership of this practice in June of 2012. Before he arrived, the practice had 3-4 different doctors within the previous 2 years which lead to many inconsistencies and mixed reviews. As alum from the University of Texas in Austin, and a permanent resident of Austin, Dr. Bhakta hopes to bring some stability to this practice via building caring and lasting relationships while caring for your complete oral health needs.
Dr. Bhakta's primary focus is on the patient's needs and concerns to ensure their level of comfort. He is committed to excellence in dental care, education, and the dedicated and experienced staff strives to achieve this in a friendly, courteous atmosphere that fosters caring, information exchange, and lasting relationships. The methods he uses are gentle, and are intended to keep the patients comfortable. His philosophy is that this office continues to provide you with the highest level of oral health care as possible.
In his spare time, Dr. Bhakta enjoys playing golf, tennis, volleyball and watching college football. He and his wife also like to go out and experience the many different things to do and see in and around the Austin area.
